1. Space Debris Crisis & Hypervelocity Dynamics

Over 10,000 trackable fragments orbit Earth at ~8 km/s. Even a 1-cm fragment carries the kinetic energy of a live grenade.

2. Computing Minimum Orbit Intersection Distance (MOID)

Finding the closest geometric approach between two Keplerian ellipses requires solving non-linear distance extrema. We combined Newton-Raphson solvers with gradient descent algorithms for fast client-side convergence.

3. Automated 24h Close-Approach Warning Radar

When distance falls below 5 km with matching epoch timestamps, SatViewer3D triggers visual warnings on the HUD.
