1. Ingesting USGS Live GeoJSON Feeds

Continuous background polling of USGS past-hour and past-day feeds, detecting new earthquake events and triggering real-time alerts.

2. 3D Hypocenter Mapping & Magnitude Scaling

Converting geodetic lat/lon/depth coordinates into 3D Cartesian vectors (X, Y, Z). Hypocenter spheres are scaled logarithmically by Magnitude and colored by focal depth.

3. Great-Circle Distance Calculation (Haversine Formula)
